Tasting Notes
The wine has a deep vibrant plum colour with a cherry rim. On the nose we get roasted nuts, complex toasty & charry oak with lifted blackcurrants and a hint of earthiness. The palate has a very soft sweet cassis berry flavoured entry with sweet blackcurrant mid palate with some balanced ripe tannins. A rich, ripe, soft and complex wine that is excellent with food.The majority of the Cabernet Sauvignon (65%) and Merlot (35%), were sourced from Willunga Hills and Malpas Ridge vineyards. The Cabernet was matured in two and three year American oak while the Merlot was barrel fermented in two year old French oak. The wine was matured over a 16 month period.
