About as good as it gets for traditional Australian vintage port. A heady, spicy, spirity and deeply concentrated aroma of briary cassis, plums and violets overlies a tarry, treacle-like background and chocolate/vanilla oak. Warm, ripe and spirity, its velvet-smooth and sumptuous palate reveals layers of dark plum and berry fruit before finishing long and savoury with a firm spine of powdery tannins. A beautifully integrated, velvety wine. Quite complex on the nose, with intense, developed soy, cedar and chocolate characters.

The best sub $30 Cabernet blend I think we could find at the moment. Rich, black soils of this vineyard on the outskirts of Margeret River give this wine such body and character.

The ripe kiwi fruit, tropical fruit flavours and ripe gooseberry extend on the palate which is crisp and fresh with well balanced acidity.

Blackberries, blackcurrants and plums with an attractive floral spectrum and some refreshing minty notes underpining fruit ripeness. Subtle nutty, toffeed, coffee aromatics adding further intrigue. Spicy and peppery with furry firm tannins.

wonderfully concentrated fruit flavors make this wine a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This is the second label from Lawsons Dry Hills and shows all the great characters of it's big brother at a better price!
